  • 4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder or fresh haldi
  • 1/2 Black Pepper powder (or 5-6 kali mirch)
  • 4-5 Cloves ( loung)
  • 4-5 Green Elaichi (or moti elaichi)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder (or dalchini powder)
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 6-7 holy basil (or tulsi leaves)
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain
  • 4-5 small sized Giloye sticks
  • Honey
  • Munakha (optional)a

How to make Kadha or Decoction at home?

  1. Take a pan and put on the gad with low flame

    Add 4 cups of water into it
    Let it come to a boil

  2. Add all powdered ingredients to it

    Black pepper, Turmeric and cinnamon powder

  3. Now, Add ajwain

    Add on the ajwain to it and mix it with a spoon.

  4. On the other hand, Take a masher, and now you have to mash the other ingredients with the mudler

    Add tulsi leaves, ginger, giloye sticks, cloves elaichi to the masher and mash them with the mudler.

  5. Now, add this mashed ingredients to the kadha.

    pour it to the boiling water in the pan. Mix it well

  6. Let the kadha cook.

    Cook until it reduced to half of it.

  7. Your kadha is ready to serve

    Sieve the kadha and serve hot.

  8. At last, add some honey to give it a sweet taste

    make sure you add honey after the kadha is cooked completely and your are going to serve.

  9. Enjoy the kadha

    Take half cup once a day.
